In June, BE2T was invited to participate in the Universities of Louisiana Black Male Summit at the Hilton Riverside. The two day conference brought together young black men from nine Louisiana universities.
It featured a keynote by New Orleans Saints player Tyrann Mathieu and three panel discussions that expanded our thinking on black males in education, healthcare and criminal justice.
It was a privilege to speak directly to the young men during our breakout session and showcase the important role they can play in education.
Thank you Dr. Claire Norris and the University of Louisiana System for inviting us to speak and share our work with the conference attendees. It felt like being home around all these young men.
